About Us — Tevah Acres
Happy, healthy, free-range farming.
Hi! We are Josh and Echo, and we have a small family farm tucked into the hills of Cherryville, BC — part hatchery, part bakery, part flour mill, part saffron field, and fully committed to raising and growing food the way it was meant to be: with care, intention, and joy.
It started, like most good farm stories do, with curiosity and a bit of chaos. We wanted to know where our food came from, to bake bread that was truly nourishing, and to raise animals that lived well. So we began doing it ourselves — one flock, one grain, one season at a time.
Our ethical, small-scale hatchery is at the heart of it all. We raise heritage and rare-breed chickens on open pasture — birds that are handled with respect and cared for like part of the family. It’s slower, harder work, but it’s the kind that lets you sleep easy at night knowing every life on the farm is well loved.
From there, the rest grew naturally — saffron fields glowing in the fall, bread baked for the local community to enjoy, and a traditional stone mill turning whole organic grains into living flour. That’s how Tevah Flour Co. was born: a way to share what we were already doing for ourselves and locally, with the hopes of branching out further in Canada. Real flour, fresh-milled, with nothing added. The kind that smells like life and bakes like a dream.
Whether you come for the chicks, the bread, the flour, or the saffron, you’ll find the same thread running through it all:
happy, healthy, free-range farming.
