Ameraucana Chickens

Ameraucanas are one of our all-time favourite breeds — gentle, curious, and beautifully unique. Ours are considered an “Americanized” version of the breed: not always showing the standard APA colours, but consistently producing the signature blue eggs and classic Ameraucana features we all love.

Our flocks display strong genes for lavender, black, blue, and splash, though colour variations may occur. We don’t breed specifically for show standards; instead, we focus on robustness, genetic diversity, and true Ameraucana traits — including full beards, muffs, small combs, slate legs, and that charming upright tail.

These birds are excellent for small farms and backyard flocks alike. Friendly, hardy, and adaptable, they make wonderful additions to any setting.

💙 A Note on Straight-Run Chicks

All our Ameraucana chicks are straight-run, meaning they are not sexed at hatch. We do not vent-sex our chicks — it’s stressful and can cause harm to young birds. Our priority is the wellbeing of each chick from the start.

If you prefer guaranteed hens, we recommend checking out our autosexing breeds instead.

Roosters, when raised ethically, make excellent flock protectors and farm companions, and can also be raised for meat or pet food. They’re often among the most loyal and affectionate birds on the farm.
