We begin with organic Canadian-grown rye sourced from Fieldstone Organics and stone mill it fresh using a slow, cold-milling process that protects the natural oils, flavour, and nutrition found within the grain.

Through multiple milling passes, we create an exceptionally fine flour that captures rye’s distinctive flavour while maintaining a smooth, easy-to-use texture. The result is a flour that delivers all the richness and personality of rye without the coarse texture many bakers expect.

Rye is prized for its gentle earthiness, subtle sweetness, and remarkable ability to enhance fermentation. It is a favourite among sourdough bakers, helping build vigorous starters and adding depth of flavour to naturally leavened breads. Beyond sourdough, it shines in sandwich loaves, artisan breads, crackers, cookies, buns, and traditional rye recipes.

Made from organic Canadian-grown grain, our flour is naturally GMO-free and glyphosate-free. We never enrich, bleach, or add preservatives or additives. Instead, we mill fresh in small batches, keeping the goodness of the whole grain intact while creating a remarkably soft and versatile flour.
