Why freeze-dried?
Unlike traditional dehydration, freeze-drying preserves the full vitality of your starter by gently removing moisture at cold temperatures — protecting the delicate yeast and bacteria strains that give sourdough its strength, flavour, and character. ✨ To Revive:
Stir 1 tsp of freeze-dried starter into 1 Tbsp of warm water and let sit 10 minutes to dissolve. Feed with 2 Tbsp flour + 2 Tbsp water. Cover loosely and let rest at room temperature. Feed daily (or twice daily) until active, bubbly, and ready to bake — usually 3–5 days depending on temperature. Full instructions included.
